Cardigan-based Animal Sanctuary
At Second Chances Animal Sanctuary, my passion for animal welfare shines through every aspect of our work. With over 25 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for animals in need. Our sanctuary is a haven for creatures who may not find a home elsewhere, offering a safe and loving environment where they can thrive. From dogs and cats to wildlife, every animal is treated with compassion and respect. We believe that every creature deserves a second chance, and I am proud to lead efforts that make a positive impact on their lives.
The sanctuary operates with a strong commitment to the wellbeing of our residents, many of whom will stay with us for the rest of their lives. I also focus on educating the community about animal welfare, wildlife rehabilitation, and the importance of responsible pet ownership. Every day, I am honoured to witness the incredible bonds formed between people and animals here, particularly with those who are neurodivergent. Our tranquil environment and the love of our animals have a remarkable effect on fostering understanding and companionship. We are not just a sanctuary; we are a family.

I know a lot of rescues, I've worked at one for quite a while, but suddenly you come across a smaller rescue/sanctuary. I've been lucky enough to see the passion and total dedication that Emma gives to every animal in her care...they come 1st all the time. Emma works tirelessly to give the sanctuary animals a loving safe home to live out their days. It's pretty much non stop as well as looking after the dogs and cats.
